Is Polygamy A Right for Muslim Men? There are conditions!

Only if they can somehow full-fill the terms… As humans, the terms would be impossible to full-fill!

Surah al-Nisa 4:3

“If you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, marry women of your choice, two or three or four, but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them) then only one … that will be more suitable to prevent you from doing injustice.”

The Misinterpretation on Polygamy:

Modern-day Muslim societies have generally taken on polygamous marriages as an accepted norm of Islam. The problem lies that they have been glossing over the key stipulation of “deal justly” with the orphaned women or widows – the most vulnerable and exploited groups in early societies – as stated in Surah al-Nisa 4:3.

This key stipulation of “deal justly”, is impossible to fulfill.

See, Allah gives clear instructions. As Muslims, we are constantly tempted to violate the clear instructions left by Allah. Men muddle the words, and create books with “more guidance” where they think that the Almighty Allah has forgotten something, or left something out.

This is a challenge to men. All men know that it would be impossible to “deal justly” (equally and fairly, showing no preferential treatment) if they had more than 1 wife. It is human nature to have a favorite.

Any man who gives in to temptation and desire, and takes a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th wife is in fact violating the terms laid out in the Qur’an for this situation. Be honest for a change. You cannot full-fill the terms!

Islam and Homosexuality… No gay Muslims

Let’s make it clear right now. There is NO SUCH THING AS A GAY MUSLIM.

A Muslim is one who submits himself to the will of Allah, and Allah alone. Those who practice this evil have submitted themselves to their own desires and have turned their backs on the clear teachings of Islam. These people will use any kind of rationalization to justify their sinful practices. They are not Muslim, as they are not submitting to Allah.

Let’s look what the complete, clear Qur’an says. Remember, as Muslims we do not make up our religion. We receive it and we obey it, submitting to Allah only.

And (remember) Lut: behold, he said to his people: “Ye do commit lewdness, such as no people in Creation (ever) committed before you. Do ye indeed approach men, and cut off the highway?- and practice wickedness (even) in your councils?” But his people gave no answer but this: they said: “Bring us the Wrath of God if thou tellest the truth.”Qur’an 7:80-81

“Do you approach the males of humanity, leaving the wives that Allah has created for you? But you are a people who transgress” Qur’an (26:165-66)

Many “Muslim homosexuals” commit suicide since they can’t be punished for being homosexuals in a non-Islamic state, but two wrongs don’t make a right.

While homosexuality is wrong, it doesn’t justify suicide under any conditions or circumstances. Please know that if you ever commit suicide, you have seriously misunderstood Islam and its spirit. If you were ever involved in sexual homosexual acts in the past, you should truly and sincerely repent to Allah, The Merciful, The Gracious, and pledge to never to get involved in any homosexual acts again. There is a difference to actually being involved in a homosexual act -which is a sin - from having sexual feelings that you try to control, that you don’t express in public, which is not sinful if you try to control them.

If medical or psychological counseling helps, then get it, but know that Allah is The Curer, and the Qur’an is your best companion. Give charity, pray, make dua’, and Allah will not leave you alone. You have got to believe in the infinite amount of Mercy Allah provides to His servants, and you should also realize that He forgives, if He wishes, all types of sins, except the sin of disbelieving in Him.

What is sinful in homosexuality is the actual sexual act between the couple of same sex. If you transform your desires into a struggle and a challenge to overcome it and not physically commit it, then insha’Allah, you will be rewarded for it.

Don’t lose hope. Fear Allah, ask for help, never give up, and do something to get rid of even the thought of homosexuality. Try to avoid any circumstances that trigger those homosexual feelings: don’t be alone with a man or woman you find attractive. Always be in the company of others, don’t get involved in deep / personal discussions with any person that you may think will trigger your homosexual feeling. Stay away from any other people who have similar feelings. Don’t even think in such an idea of this subject, keep yourself busy in different useful things, and stay away of anything that reminds you of homosexuality. Keep a POSITIVE thinking in your mind and keep saying to yourself that you can do something about it. Don’t ever say I can’t. Remember with every step you take toward getting rid of this habit you will be aided, guided and  rewarded from Allah.

Remember, there is in this world many compulsive gamblers, alcoholics, adulterers, thieves, but many of them control it and refrain from doing it… If they aren’t Muslims and have the will to do it, you are a Muslim and you have Allah on your side when you seek His Help. There is no way you will fail insha’Allah…

The True Islam: Allah is my only judge

procastinatersheaven:

trueislam88:

I am in a state of constant amazement at the things that Muslims say to me…

“You cannot have dogs for pets, they are haram. You have to wash with earth soap if you touch them”

“Women must be covered”

“Women must allow their husbands to marry multiple wives if they want”

“Men can hit their…

im sorry to say this but you think before actually doing what you are asing others to not do.in islam a muslim women MUST be covered.we are not allowed to touch pork or eat it because it is HARAM.alchokol, drinking, gambling and all other vices are also haram and forbidden.these are the basics mentioned in quran.hear yourself sometimes.

I’m sorry procastinatersheaven, but you are wrong about some of your assumptions. The only thing that is Haram according to the Qur’an is eating pork, not touching it. It is stated clearly. Muslims are allowed to touch pork, and pork based products.

Muslim women must cover their beauty spots (breasts), and lengthen their dress. If you can show me where the QUR’AN states women must be covered completely, lets see it. Qur’an only please, since the Qur’an states we should only follow the Qur’an.

Many so-called Muslim scholars have invented extreme rules for women’s dress which are not found in the Quran. Some say that a woman should be totally covered except for her face, while others even more extreme say that all the woman must be covered from head to toe except for two holes where the eyes can peep out from!

1- There is nothing in all the Quran that says to the woman to cover all her body. We must accept that the Qur’an has all the details, and that Allah does not forget. If Allah  wanted the woman to cover all her body from the neck to the feet Allah would have said that clearly. Those who make such un-Quranic claims cannot find words in the Qur’an with such extreme commands, so they manipulate 24:31 and 33:59 to comply with their false claims.

2- The fact that Allah says in 24:31 to specifically cover the breast indicates clearly that there are other parts of the woman’s body that do not have to be covered.

Now, about the prohibition of intoxicants in the Quran we read the following two premises:

1- “Allah prohibited all “ithm” (sin)” 7:33

2- “They ask you about intoxicants and gambling: say, “In them there is a gross “ithm” (sin), and some benefits for the people. But their sinfulness far outweighs their benefit.” 2:219

therefore:
Intoxicants, when used in any way which induces “Ithm” (sin), as in getting drunk or taking drugs to get high, would by definition be prohibited by Allah since all “ithm” is prohibited by Allah.

In contrast, when intoxicants are used in the many ways which provide benefits to the mankind without leading to sin, they would not be prohibited (like use of intoxicants in medicine, surgery, cleaning, cooking, in small doses which do not cause drunkenness). This is obvious from the fact that Allah says that there are benefits too from intoxicants. Allah would not say there are benefits for people if these benefits were prohibited.

The sinful ways of using intoxicants are further given light in the Quran in 5:90 which tells us that intoxicants and gambling are works of the devil. Also in 5:91 where we are told that the devil entices people to use intoxicants and gambling to spread animosity and hatred between people and to distract the human from commemorating Allah.

Thus it is these sinful uses of intoxicants alone (which contain “ithm”), which are prohibited. There are uses that are not sinful, and would infact be helping people, and thus would not be prohibited. Completely prohibiting and saying that gambling and alcohol are NOT haram. Saying that they are is twisting the words of Allah, and interpreting them. Something the Qur’an says NOT to do.

Surat Al-Ĥashr 59:7

And what Allah restored to His Messenger from the people of the towns - it is for Allah and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives and orphans and the [stranded] traveler - so that it will not be a perpetual distribution among the rich from among you. And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.

Many people say this is one of the verses in the Qur’an that prove we are supposed to follow hadiths…

The Qur’an is clear. It is infallible. It is complete.

The Messenger did not give Muslims the hadiths. They came later. A collection of what The Messenger did and said… by others. They attempt to add to the complete Qur’an. They insinuate that Holy book of the words of Allah is not enough, does not have enough detail. Following these hadiths suggest that YOU believe that Allah left something out of his words!

The Messenger did not dictate the hadiths. He was long gone. They were an after-thought by men doubting the clear instructions from Allah, left to us by Muhammad (pbuh).

Doubt me if you want. Here is what the Holy Qur’an says…

Chapter (45) sūrat l-jāthiyah

These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement after Allah and His verses will they believe?

These are the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.) of Allah, which We recite to you (O Muhammad SAW) with truth. Then in which speech after Allah and His Ayat will they believe?

Chapter (4) sūrat l-nisāa

We have sent down to thee (O’ Muhammad SAW) the Book (the Qur’an) in truth, that thou mightest judge between men, as guided by Allah: so be not (used) as an advocate by those who betray their trust;

The True Islam: Allah is my only judge

islam2011:

trueislam88:

I am in a state of constant amazement at the things that Muslims say to me…

“You cannot have dogs for pets, they are haram. You have to wash with earth soap if you touch them”

“Women must be covered”

“Women must allow their husbands to marry multiple wives if they want”

“Men can hit their…

Just like you are in constant amazement about what you hear, we are in constant amazement of people like you who make claims that go against the example of the righteous predecessors and the greatest scholars this Ummah has known throughout history.

Your knowledge about Islam can most likely not even be compared to 1% of the oceans of knowledge those people possessed, yet you are making claims that they have never made, don’t you think that if there was truth to your words, those people had already found it and taught us?

The Quran is infallible, unaltered and error free, it is the word of Allah Himself that He revealed to His Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

The actions and sayings of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) are a part of Islam, however, they are not infallible like the Quran, but that is why we have the scholars, who verify what is authentic, what is trustworthy, what is good, what is false and so forth from the sayings of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). In this way we can know what was authentically revealed from Allah to the Prophet regarding his sayings and know what was a lie that people tried to ascribe to the Prophet.

For more info regarding Hadith, read this: LINK

Shaykh Saalim at-Taweel said:

One of the greatest reasons why the people of desire go astray is that they depend on the Quran & the Sunnah, but understand it as THEY want to understand it. They don’t depend on the earlier generations of Muslims and how they implemented the Ayats and the Hadiths.

And also:

It is not the Quran that sends people astray, but their incorrect understanding of it.

————————————————————————————————-

Now, as for your claims:

KEEPING DOGS

In Sahih Bukhari, the most authentic Hadith book that we have, we read:

Book 39: Agriculture – Hadith 3.515

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “Whoever keeps a dog, one Qirat of the reward of his good deeds is deducted daily, unless the dog is used for guarding a farm or cattle.”

Abu Huraira (in another narration) said from the Prophet, “unless it is used for guarding sheep or farms, or for hunting.”

Narrated Abu Hazim from Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “A dog for guarding cattle or for hunting.”

And in Book 54: The beginning of Creation – Hadith 4.448

Narrated Abu Talha: I heard Allah’s Apostle saying; “Angels (of Mercy) do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or a picture of a living creature (a human being or an animal).”

And in Sahih Muslim, Chapter 19: Instructions pertaining to the licking of a dog: Book 2, Hadith 0546:

Abu Huraira reported the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) to have said: When a dog licks a utensil belonging to any one of you, (the thing contained in it) should be thrown away and then (the utensil) should be washed seven times.

Bk 2, Number 0547:

This hadith has been transmitted by another chain of transmitters in which there is no mention of “throwing away”.

Bk 2, Number 0549: Abu Huraira reported:

The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: The purification of the utensil belonging to any one of you, after it is licked by a dog, lies in washing it seven times, using sand for the first time.

HIJAB

Bukhari, 4481:

It was narrated from Safiyyah bint Shaybah that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) used to say: When these words were revealed – “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)” – they took their izaars (a kind of garment) and tore them from the edges and covered their faces with them.

Abu Dawood 4102:

May Allaah have mercy on the Muhaajir women. When Allaah revealed the words “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)”, they tore the thickest of their aprons (a kind of garment) and covered their faces with them.

Bukhari, 5149; Muslim, 1428:

It was narrated from ‘Urwah that ‘Aa’ishah said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to pray Fajr and the believing women would attend (the prayer) with him, wrapped in their aprons, then they would go back to their houses and no one would recognize them.

And there are many more hadith regarding the Hijab.

MARRYING MULTIPLE WIVES

Allah says in the Quran:

And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] one or those your right hand possesses. That is more suitable that you may not incline [to injustice]. [4:3, interpretation of the meanings]

Hence, Allah has declared it to be halal for a man to marry multiple women, and we cannot make haram what Allah has made halal like the Jews and Christians have done with their religion. This is explained in the commentary of Ibn Kathir, see his commentary on verse 9:31 for more information.

However, a woman can stipulate in the marriage contract that she does not want her husband to marry a second wife, if she does not do this, then he is free to marry a second wife, or a third or fourth.

MEN CAN HIT THEIR WIVES IN ISLAM

Once again, the Quran says:

“But those [wives] form whom you fear arrogance – [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them.” [The Qur’ân 4:34, interpretation of the meanings]

What is intended here is not severe beating as is generally done in west by indecorous men, see Tafsir ibn Kathîr verse 4:34 for the explanation.

MUSLIMS CANNOT HAVE PICTURES OR FIGURINES IN THEIR HOUSES

Bukhari, Book 54: The beginning of Creation – Hadith 4.448

Narrated Abu Talha: I heard Allah’s Apostle saying; “Angels (of Mercy) do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or a picture of a living creature (a human being or an animal).”

Also:

‘Aishah reported that Allah’s Messenger came back from a journey and I had screened my door with a curtain having (images) of winged horses on it. He commanded me (to remove them). So I pulled them down. [This is the wording narrated by Muslim, 3/1158, no. 5256]

Al-Bukhari’s narration is, “I had hung a thick curtain having images (tamathil). He commanded me to remove them, so I pulled them down.” [Al-Bukhari, 7/542]

MUSLIMS CANNOT TOUCH PIGS OR PORK PRODUCTS

I have no knowledge regarding this topic.

MUSLIMS CANNOT DRINK ALCOHOL

Sahih Muslim:

4956. ‘A’isha reported: Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) was asked about Bit, whereupon he said: Every drink that causes intoxication is forbidden.

4959. Abu Musa reported: Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) sent me and Mu’adh b. Jabal to Yemen. I said: Allah’s Messenger, there is prepared in our land a wine out of barley which is known as Mizr (beer of our times) and a wine from honey which is known as Bit, (are these also forbidden?), whereupon he said: Every intoxicant is forbidden.

And there are many more hadiths concerning this prohibition.

SMOKING IS HARAM

the Fatwa Department Research Committee - chaired by Sheikh `Abd al-Wahhâb al-Turayrî says:

For instance, there is no direct statement to say that smoking is unlawful in Islam. However, we know that smoking ruins the health and brings on early death. Therefore its ruling is implied in Allah’s statement: “Do not throw yourselves to destruction by your own hands” [Sûrah al-Baqarah: 195], as well as all the other evidence demanding that we take care of our lives and our health. For this reason, the vast majority of scholars rule that smoking is unlawful in Islam.

MEN CANNOT WEAR GOLD

Sheikh `Abd Allah Nâsir al-Sulamî, professor at the Higher Juridical Institute says:

Wearing gold and silk is unlawful for males, since Islam considers them to be exclusive for women and a sign of femininity.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) took a piece of silk and a piece of gold and said: “These two are forbidden for the men of my people.” [Sunan Abî Dâwûd]

He also said: “Wearing silk and gold has been made unlawful for the men of my people and lawful for the women.” [Sunan al-Tirmidhî]

CIRCUMCISION

“Five things are related to the Fitrah: circumcision, removing the pubic hairs, plucking the armpit hairs, cutting the nails, and trimming the mustache.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5550; Muslim, 257

Shaykh Abdul Azees Aal ush-Shaykh said: Circumcision is waajib upon the man unless it may cause him harm. For example, the man may be very old and the doctors see that if he goes ahead and gets circumcised at this time, it would cause him harm. In this case, circumcision is not waajib.

If the person knows this will not harm him and he is able to do it, then it becomes obligatory upon him because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us to circumcise and he said: ”the fitrah is five” and he began with circumcision.

CONVERTS MUST TAKE AN ISLAMIC NAME

This is not a must.

————————————————————————————————-

Lastly, your claim to follow only the Quran and disregard the Sunnah is in straight contradiction with the Quran, for Allah says:

And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty. [59:7]

According to Hadrat Abu Hurairah he said:

“When I command you to do a thing, do it as far as you can; and when forbid you to do a thing, restrain from it.” (Bukhari, Muslim).

About Hadrat `Abdullah bin Mas’ud it has been related that once during a speech he said:

“Allah has cursed the woman who practices such and such a fashion.”

Thereupon a woman approached him and asked,

“Wherefrom have you derived this thing? For I have not seen such a thing anywhere in the Book of Allah.”

Hadrat `Abdullah replied,

“Had you studied the Book of Allah, you would certainly have found it therein. Have you not read the verse: Ma ata-kum ar-Rasulu fa-khudu hu wa ma naha-kum `anhu fantahu: “Take whatever the Messenger gives you, and refrain from whatever he forbids you. ”

When she said that she had read this verse, Hadrat `Abdullah said:

“So the Holy Prophet (upon whom be Allah’s peace) has forbidden this act, and has given the news that Allah has cursed the women who practice it. ”

The woman agreed that she had understood the Command. (Bukhari Muslim, Musnad Ahmad, Musnad Ibn abi Hatim,).

Thank you for re-blogging Islam2011 :) … I notice that most of your arguments about why to follow the Hadith, or the majority of your other points comes from… hadiths.

My statements about why NOT to follow the hadiths come from the Qur’an. Everyone makes their own choices, Allah is our only judge.

I’ll be safe and listen to his words alone, as he instructed in the infallible, complete, unaltered and error free Holy Qur’an.

I won’t respond to the evidence that you presented that does NOT come from the Qur’an. You are validating my point that none of those points were from Allah. If they were, they would have been in the Qur’an, as the Qur’an is complete. It says so. As for the 2 points you mentioned where your arguments were from the Qur’an, I think you misunderstood.

MARRYING MULTIPLE WIVES:

I agree with you, as it states it is allowed. Under the conditions that you pointed out also. The problem I pointed out is that the conditions are not taught, even in the required Islamic pre-marriage counseling (I know, I sat through the mandatory classes). Men are taught that the women just have to accept it. Women are taught that it is the men’s right. There is no mention about the conditions. Women are also not told that they can state they will not accept it before the marriage, and that the man can then not do it. I also highly doubt that any man alive could satisfy the conditions of equality. If you love any one anymore than the other, it violate the completely fair and equal treatment. If you have a “favorite”, it violates the equality.

MEN CAN HIT THEIR WIVES IN ISLAM

This is false, blatantly so. It is a purposely misinterpreted verse. The fact that people believe that Allah would permit men to strike their wives (who they are charged with loving, caring, and protecting) is ludicrous.

Men, you CANNOT strike your wives, no matter how lightly.

In the case of Noble Verse 4:34 where Allah Almighty seems to allow men to hit their wives after the two warnings for ill-conduct and disloyalty, the command from Allah is for the Muslims to “leave” the home all together and desert their wives for a long time in a hope that the wives would then come back to their senses and repent. Now, doesn’t that make more sense then allowing men to beat their wives? What sort of example are you showing the world of the love and graciousness that Allah bestows to all when you beat those under your care?

The Arabic word used in Noble Verse 4:34 above is “idribuhunna”, which is derived from “daraba” which means “beat”.  The issue with all of the Arabic words that are derived from the word “daraba” is that they don’t necessarily mean “hit”.  The word “idribuhunna” for instance, could mean to “leave” them.  It is exactly like telling someone to “beat it” or “drop it” in English. That sounds more like a command from the just and gracious Allah that I love.

For a more in-depth review of this, I posted previously about this topic with more analysis and comparisons..

Again, I’m sorry about not responding to the hadiths, and other sources mentioned. I won’t waste time speculating on them. I am a Muslim, so I submit only to Allah. I follow no one but Allah, and the words of anyone other than Allah are not Islam.

Chapter (7) sūrat l-aʿrāf

Do they see nothing in the government of the heavens and the earth and all that Allah hath created? (Do they not see) that it may well be that their terms is nigh drawing to an end? In what message after this will they then believe?

Chapter (45) sūrat l-jāthiyah

These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement after Allah and His verses will they believe?

Chapter (6) sūrat l-anʿām

[Say], “Then is it other than Allah I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail?” And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters.

Chapter (6) sūrat l-anʿām

There is not an animal (that lives) on the earth, nor a being that flies on its wings, but (forms part of) communities like you. Nothing have we omitted from the Book, and they (all) shall be gathered to their Lord in the end.

“Muslims cannot drink alcohol”

“Smoking is haram”

“Men cannot wear gold. It is haram”.

“Muslim men must be circumcised”

“Converts to Islam must change their name and take an “Islamic name”

NONE OF THESE ARE TRUE!! Take the time to educate yourselves. Read the Qur’an. Explore the depth and completeness of it. Everything that pertains to Islam and following Allah is there, all in one book. Like it says.

The list of things that Muslims have let others tell them that they cannot do is mind-boggling. The fact that Muslims listen and follow all this is stunning. Non of these rules are from Allah. None of these are in the Qur’an. If you flow any of these you are actually directly disobeying Allah, because the Qur’an says it is the ONLY source, and there is no other. It says it is complete.

For those that have the nerve to lecture others… I ask you, have YOU broken any laws from Allah? Have YOU ever had sex outside of marriage? Have YOU ever listened and followed the words of anyone other than Allah pertaining to Islam? If you have (and you KNOW you have) then stop lecturing others. Focus on your own deeds. Stop being  hypocrites. Do not judge, that is up to Allah. You cannot see what is in the hearts of others.

Do they see nothing in the government of the heavens and the earth and all that Allah hath created? (Do they not see) that it may well be that their terms is nigh drawing to an end? In what message after this will they then believe?

The Holy Qur’an, Chapter (7) sūrat l-aʿrāf (The Heights)

The Qur’an is the only message we are to follow as Muslims. It has all the instructions. The Qur’an does not contain any mention of the words ‘Sunna of Muhammad’. The words of Allah are the only instructions we are to follow.

Q:I was quite surprised to see the follow from you, as I am not a member of any organised religion. However, I have read Quran, and like quite a few bits in there, altough have some issues with others, as they clash with my own opinions. Thank you though, I've been scrolling down your blog for a while and it's really interesting, you're doing a great job with it.

Hope you keep reading :) I’m sure some of what I write here (a lot of it) will go against what you have heard about Islam.

Many so called ‘Muslims’ are doing a terrific job at destroying Islam. They are leading their followers away from the Qur’an. They will end up paying a harsh price for this, but at least I am trying to do something to fix their un-truths straight!

Q:Open the Quran and see where it says Muhammed pbuh him is the best of guides for us. Now tell me if he prayed salah 5 times a day, what makes you think you don't take him as a guide. Theirs a reason why he's the imam of the prophets :) also based upon your disregard for Hadith, how do you preform salah ? It isn't explained in Quran.

The Qur’an is COMPLETE! It is fully detailed! The Qur’an says so! If it is not in the Qur’an, it does not matter! If it is not in the Qur’an, it is NOT from Allah!

The Quran confirms that the only sunna is the sunna of Allah. No where in the Quran is there any mention of a sunna for Muhammad!

“You will find that the sunna of Allah is the only sunna” (33:62….35:43…..48:23)

2- The Quran commands all Muslims to follow the Quran Alone, this command is found in numerous verses, the following are examples:

“These are Allah’s revelations that We recite to you truthfully. In which hadith other than Allah and His revelations do they believe?” 45:6

“Shall I seek other than Allah as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book fully detailed?” 6:114

“This scripture (Quran) has been revealed to you - you shall not harbour doubt about it in your heart - that you may warn with it, and to provide a reminder for the believers. You shall all follow what is revealed to you from your Lord; do not follow any idols besides Him. Rarely do you take heed.” 7:2-3

I recommend you to re-read our Holy Qur’an. It does explain clearly how to perform salah. Of course it does, the Qur’an is complete. Here, I will help you out.

Before salat say:

“A”uzu b”Allah min Al-Shaytan Al-Rajeem” (I seek refuge in God from the rejected devil” 16:98.

During our Salat we say the words below plus any other words we may choose from the Qur’an. We can repeat any of these words any number of times and we can say any of them during any of the three positions. The idea is to be spiritually free while we worship God.

1- Al-Fatiha (The Key)

In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. [All] praise is [due] to Allah , Lord of the worlds - The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, Sovereign of the Day of Recompense. It is You we worship and You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path - The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.

2- “Allahu Akbar” (God is Greatest) to be spoken frequently, 2:185 and 17:111.

3- “Sobhan Rabi Al-Azeem” (Praise my Lord the Great). 56:74

4- “Sobhan Rabi Al-Aala” (Praise my Lord the Most High). 87:1

5- The Shahada (Testimony): “Ash”hadu ana la illaha ila Allah” (I bear witness that there is no God other than God). 3:18

6- “Al-Hamdu l”Allah alazee lam yatakhez waladan, wa lam yakun lahu shareek fee al mulk, wa lam yakun lahu waleyon min al zol”. (Praise be to God who has never begotten a son, nor does He have a partner in His kingship, nor does He need an ally out of weakness). 17:111

7- The Salat ends with the words:

“Al-Hamdu l”Allah Rab Al-Alameen (Praise be to God, Lord of the Universe)” 10:10

The above words can be spoken in any of the three positions (standing, bowing and prostrating), and also repeated once or as many times as we wish.

It must also be made clear that apart from items 2 and 6 above, which we must utter in our Salat (17:111), all the others words are up to us to utter or to mix with other Quranic words which glorify God alone. Hence, there can be other equally correct words for Salat.

Different believers will have different Quranic words which they favour and which they will utter during their Salat and that is perfectly alright.

So, you see all the answers are in the Qur’an. If it is not, that is because it has nothing to do with our life as a true Muslim.

To summarize  We must always remember that the Qur’an says to follow nothing but the Qur’an. To follow anything other than the Qur’an is a direct violation of the words of Allah. To suggest that the Qur’an is not complete means that you think Allah has forgotten something from the book that he gave us, which states that it is fully detailed and complete! I’ll follow the words of Allah, you can do otherwise at your own risk…
